Influence Diagrams

An Influence Diagram is a visual representation of the variables and the interdependency among them in a decision problem. D-cide© is an influence diagramming tool used to represent spreadsheet models in a visual environment with an intuitive and user-friendly interface. An influence diagram visualizes a complex decision problem with a single image making it possible to study a large number of objects in a model.  The attributes associated with an object in the model define its characteristics.  Algebraic equations embedded with the objects represent their interdependencies with the other objects in the model. D-cide© enables a user to make real-time changes in the model and examine infinite possibilities and scenarios by changing the attributes and/or interdependencies associated with the objects.  D-cide© provides an easier and faster way to build, edit and explain a spreadsheet model in a collaborative model-building environment.
